Day1: Yangon (Guide) (L)(D)
Meet on arrival at YANGON International Airport and transfer to
hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour that includes the old
colonial-style city center with the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back
over 2,000 years. BOGYOKE (SCOTT'S) MARKET (closed on Monday) with
hundreds of stores and visit of a gems shop. The tour continues to
CHAUK HTAY GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo
stop made at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge. An extended
visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world's most spectacular
religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque
Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters
above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. If arriving
on late afternoon flight, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in
Yangon.
Day2: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo(B) (Guide) (L)(D)
Full day excursion out of Yangon to Golden rock Via through BAGO
(84 km, 1½ hours). En Route, visit of the Kyaik Ka Wine Monestary,
the largest monastery in town where thousands of monk gather morning
food there. After lunch, continue to KIN PUN 'base camp' (110 km -
3½ hours) and onward to KYAIKTIYO the Golden Rock, a huge boulder
completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the
edge of a cliff. From KIN PUN, a steep and rough 11 km dirt road
leads to the upper staging point. A Journey made in open trucks,
which are very crowded. From the 'upper area', travelers must, at
present, walk the final stage, approx. 4 km, up steep paths which
ascend some 500m to the GOLDEN ROCK. As an easier alternative to
walking, visitors can be carried in dean chairs by four porters, at
an extra cost of approx. US$ 10.00 p.p. On arrival, watch the beauty
of sunset or dawn at this important pilgrimage site. Overnight at
Golden Rock .
Day3: Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon (B) (Guide) (L)(D)
After breakfast, climb-down and drive to Bago. In Bago visit
Shwemawdaw, one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar; the famous
Kalyani Sima (ordination Hall); Shwethalyaung, the most lifelike of
Reclining Buddhas; Kyaikpun Pagoda, four high and huge Buddha
images; and Bago Market. After lunch (own arrangement), drive back
to Yangon and visit Bogyoke Market for shopping; Chaukhtatkyi
Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha; Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating
barge on the Royal Lake for a photo stop and in the late afternoon,
visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, a world famous golden stupa. Overnight
in Yangon.
Day 4: Yangon – Thanlyin – Yangon - Int’l Departure

After breakfast, excursion to Thanlyin by car. Tour highlights: -
Kyaik Khauk Pagoda and Kyauktan Yele Pagoda. Then drive back to
Yangon and proceed to Yangon International Airport for departure.
